Friend,
Years of work, undone in a few seconds. All because of a lie.
That’s the reality for female athletes across the country right now. Madison Kenyon knows the feeling.
A track and field athlete since she was a teen, Madison says, “Running is my happy place.”
Then she was forced to compete against a male.
When she first found out that a male—who “identified” as female—was going to compete in the women’s category, she couldn’t believe it. How could women meaningfully compete when the deck is stacked against them?
Males are inherently bigger, stronger, and faster. Madison knew that no matter how hard she trained and how much she excelled in her sport, she couldn’t beat basic biology.
She lost to the male athlete—again and again. Instead of the thrill of competition, Madison says she felt “frustrated and defeated.”
Her friend, Mary Kate, had a similar experience. Like Madison, she competed on the track and field team at Idaho State University. And like Madison, she repeatedly lost in competitions to the same male athlete.
Madison and Mary Kate didn’t deserve this. Neither do all the girls across the country who are being replaced on their teams, bumped out of rankings, and even injured and harmed by males competing in their sports.
But this is the price of a lie. When people reject biological reality, girls get hurt.
On January 13, Madison and Mary Kate will ask the U.S. Supreme Court to protect women’s sports, so girls nationwide can compete fairly and safely.
They could use your prayers, Friend. Will you sign up to pray for these young women as they bravely take their stand at the nation’s highest court? |
